Prices Are Going Up
Tuesday, August 19th, 2008Inflation is heating up again. Now there’s a news flash! I remember last year some economist on that TV stock show said that the “price of oil” was not a huge factor in the cost of products and therefore it’s impact would not be that great. Either that guy was an idiot, or businesses are using the price of gas as an excuse to increase prices.
The US government said that price increases in July were the highest in the last 27 years. Now that, I do believe! We know that ‘big oil’ is experiencing the highest profit levels ever, but what about the rest of America?
